Vinton Cerf

Vinton Cerf was important to the comeputer science community. Born June 23 1943. He is one of the founders of the internet along side Robert Kahn. He also created the internet's basic communications protocols, TCP and IP. In 1965 he recived his bacholors degree from Stanford and worked at IBM as a system engineer before going to UCLA to get his Masters and doctorate in Computer Science. He then returned to He then returned to Stanford, where he joined the faculty in computer science and electrical engineering.
